51. He was being "blackmailed" by the NYPD and ghouliani

Don't know why so many on this board want to try to pretend he just did it on his own volition. It was the ghouls NYPD buddies who were going to leak it and Comey got out in front of them trying to protect the FBI. Maybe not the best call but it was coming out with or without Comey.

"Hillary Clinton suggested on Monday that former FBI Director James Comey may have been pressured by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and others to reopen the bureau's investigation into her use of a private email server less than two weeks before the 2016 presidential election.

"He was under pressure from Rudy Giuliani, others — both former and current FBI officials," Cliton told Charlie Rose in an interview. "Giuliani announced two days before [Oct. 28] — 'something big is coming in two days.'"

The ghoul knew from his NYPD ties that they had the laptop with the emails. He was going to release it. Comey tried rightly or wrongly to get out in front of it so it did not look like the FBI was hiding information from the electorate.

May or may not have been the wrong call but with the information about to come out what choices did he have?
