by identifying him as a "sovereign citizen," as if it was a real thing. There is no such thing.
Aside from incidents like this, these idiots file court cases (and appeal when they lose), cobbling together bits and pieces of law from completely unrelated subjects as if you can apply criminal law to the interpretation of contract (for example). Because it is all law from somewhere, the time it requires for the courts to track down and counter the gibberish is tremendous - and you can't just say it's nonsense without tracking down and explaining why the recited law is completely inapplicable.
Not that I've ever had to draft an opinion responding to an appeal from one of these losers or anything . . .
