In any case, it is true that Schmidt came to realize the reality of Sarah Palin and his opinion of her evolved.

That said, his other claim to fame is schilling for Dick Cheney.

I guess the point being that his anti-Trump stuff sounds good now, of course, but he was in league with the darkest elements of the Republican party for most of his political career.

And he has not really repented for that, as far as I can tell. He supported Jeb Bush for president this time around.
