14. The 2014 Princeton-Northwestern Study has told us why polls don't matter.

Here's the study's title: "Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens"

Here's a digestible summary: http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-27074746

From Martin Gilens, one of the study's authors: "... contrary to what decades of political science research might lead you to believe, ordinary citizens have virtually no influence over what their government does in the United States. And economic elites and interest groups, especially those representing business, have a substantial degree of influence. Government policy-making over the last few decades reflects the preferences of those groups — of economic elites and of organized interests..."

We are continually confused because our schooling has told us that we are a democracy, when congressional votes during four administrations shows exactly what we are.

The really scary thing, to me, is finding out what the Koch brothers want to do with their newly built power now shown through their decades of effort to establish their capitalist-libertarian network. Charles Koch has said many times that the constitutional majoritarian system of this country is broken. And of course, he has done his mighty best to make sure it stays that way, and that all governmental-institutional social supports are dismantled.
