15. I was in college when nixon resigned

I remember the phrase ' for the good of the country'.
Nixon shouldn't be impeached, he didn't do anything wrong. Let him resign.
I thought then and still believe that the Democrats did the country a disservice by allowing Nixon to resign without impeaching him. I always felt the republicans felt they could do whatever they wanted with impunity. And now we have Trump.
Nobody should be above the law.
And if we Democrats love the country we live in we should be willing to stand up and do anything to hold Trump accountable.
