in a district that went for Trump by 28 points last year.

Demonstrating keeps up the energy, momentum and visible resistance that we need going into the 2018 midterms.

I appreciate that the last year can be a bit depressing, but I'm seriously running out of patience with people throwing cold water on acts of resistance. They need to be daily and massive. What's the use?

1. They provide encouragement to people so they know that they are not alone
2. They alert swing and non-voters that something is going on that they should be paying attention to
3. They let Congress know that they will be held accountable to their constituents
4. They annoy Trump and cause him to tweet more self-incriminating crap
5. They build local networks that support D candidates and GOTV efforts
6. They give the media something to talk about and keep Trump's and Congress's crimes in the news cycle for a few extra days

Even if you can't be bothered yourself, the least you can do is not actively work to dissuade people from attending because at a certain point that starts to meld into carrying water for the other side.
