Capitalism is merely using money to make more money. Making a profit, selling your product for more than you spent on it is NOT capitalism. Borrowing someone else's capital, a loan, to start a business is Not capitalism.

Buying stocks is capitalism. The person who lends you money is using capitalism. Good old fashion markets are usually mixed in with capitalism because by itself, capitalism only helps those born with capital. Because if you are not born with capital, like 99% of people, you have to make capital through your labor or borrow it from ....those born with capital.

Most societies are NOT 100% capitalism or 100% old fashion markets, or 100% communism, or 100% socialism, or 100% feudalism. Most human societies mixed the different types of economics together. Capitalism worked with both slavery and feudalism. Where capitalism doesn't seem to work well is with democracy. Capitalism consolidates wealth and power into a few people who were lucky enough to be born into wealth and capital. Yes, a few people have been able to amass huge fortunes on their own but that is very rare. Consolidating power into just a few lucky heirs is the antipathy to democracy.
