(562 posts)I won't assume everybody has mobile, but we can't assume democrats are unaffected, or Twitter bots have no or minimal impact, or other assumptions being made.
I distinctly remember a mass, crushing wave of bot propaganda about Clinton's e-mails after Comey reopened the server investigation that enveloped social media for a solid week at least.
I don't think it was limited to Facebook or Twitter or social media. It's YouTube. It's Google. Its every access point to news and information.
That's not going to change dems minds per se, but it will dampen enthusiasm. And there's evidence to suggest that cost Clinton the election,by effecting independents and reducing voter turnout.
So, back to my point, if Anerican companies like "do no evil" Google or Facebook or Twitter are more concerned about profit, and OF COURSE they are, the only thing that will get their attention is a threat to profit.
There are actually a lot of alternative social media. There's nothing like a threat of mass migration to an alternative to wake Zuckerberg, etc the fuck up, and we don't need Mueller for that.
