I sometimes worry as much about Fox and their compatriots as I do about Trump. Sometime more, since they have been so enabling of Trump & his supporters.
What they conservative media have done is not just create an echo chamber, but inoculate themselves, their viewers and all Republicans against the truth. Their consumers all believe that Democrats lie, all the time. Can never be trusted. That all the MSM are liberal (and therefore can't be believed or trusted).
So if their audience has NO OTHER SOURCE of information they would ever find credible, it's a completely closed system.
ONE conservative that I know of -- just one, has identified the problem and is concerned about it. He used to be a conservative talk show host. Nowadays you can see him occasionally on MSNBC. Don't know if he has a podcast or anything, but I don't think he's got a radio show anymore. Anyway, here are two extended quotes from him which I think are especially enlightening:
