5. My point was different

Actually, I should break it into two separate points. 1) Assault rifles should be left in military hands 2) Gun ownership must be restricted. Number two is dependent upon age and background checks, and should be the avenue we pursue as regards to new legislation. So I agree with you, but I just want to point out that we shouldn't stop at raising the age. I want to stress that it is merely a first step.
