(42,674 posts)I love science, my first degree is in science. Lets see if I can explain what I mean. Im not very clear this morning Traditional femininity is based on a lot of fallacies, women are weak, women cant learn, women arent good at math women cant drive. Women cant fight in the military, cant be cops, cant be scientists. Aggressiveness is seen as a negative, non-feminine trait, yet we still have aggressive women dont we? As we have loving, nurturing feminine men and boys.
Its true that testosterone affects aggression, just as its true women ride the rides of hormonal fluxes, yet does either make them masculine or feminine? Its true that Studies have shown that drops in testosterone as men age lessons aggressiveness, yet is testosterone to blame for lethal aggression when the majority of men arent running around killing people?
Blah, Im still not being as clear as I like. Its a bigger discussion than Im ready for this morning I think.
