On March 1, MSNBCs The Rachel Maddow Show was the most watched show not only on all of cable news but on all of cable television.
Here are the total viewership numbers for all of cable for Thursday, March 1:

Here is the press released provided to PoliticusUSA by MSNBC:
MSNBC was the #1 cable news network in A25-54 during prime, beating both FOX News and CNN on Thursday, 3/1/18.
MSNBC also had 3 of the Top 10 shows on all of cable in total viewers: The Rachel Maddow Show was #1, The Last Word with Lawrence ODonnell was #5 and All In with Chris Hayes was #6.
· In addition to Maddow, three other shows beat FOX News and CNN across the board: Deadline: White House at 4pm, which began with a breaking news exclusive from anchor Nicolle Wallace on HR McMaster; Hardball with Chris Matthews at 7pm; and The 11th Hour with Brian Williams at 11pm.
· The Last Word with Lawrence ODonnell also beat both FOX News and CNN in the A25-54 demo.
· MSNBC beat CNN in every part in both total viewers and the A25-54 demo including Dayside (9am-5pm), Sales Day (6am-2am), Morning Joe (6-9am), and Prime (8-11pm).
· For all of television, MSNBC had 2 of the Top 20 programs: Maddow was #12 and The Last Word was #20.
