They are called a HELOC, you have to make some payment, but it can be interest only. The rates are super low, I had one a couple years ago that was at 2.45 percent.
I don't know anything about reverse mortgages.
The thing with a HELOC though is that you don't have to sign away your home, your just borrowing against the equity.
