It would set a precedent that would have Republican senators, congressmen/women and even their presidential candidates shivering with fear for their future. There might even be a constitutional challenge all the way to the Supreme Court, and if it withstands that, every other state can either enact similar legislation or adopt similar rules by popular consent.

Voting rights suppression has gotten the Republicans where they are. Removing that suppression would put us where we should be.
