For me, the flag has never been something to worship anyway. Hey I stand for the anthem,but I understand why the players kneeled, and I support them for the issue they are trying to get visibility for.

My oath was to the Constitution, not the flag, anyway. Incidentally, it is a very similar oath that every Pol in Washington, DC took when they were installed in office. IMNSHO, many of them are in violation of that oath.

The problem I have is this: Rejecting or ignoring the flag just surrenders it to those who exploit it for evil. JMO, I could be wrong.
