5. I met the KTLA Los Angeles Bozo on the TV set when I was a little kid. I didn't understand clowns.

I remember thinking maybe older kids did.

But I still don't understand clowns.

Wikipedia says he was played by Vance Colvig then. He may have been a friend or acquaintance of my grandma.

Colvig died of lung cancer in 1967 but before he did he became an activist supporting mandatory warning labels on cigarette packages.
