at a community meeting in Arcata, and nobody else there seemed to notice it either. Hubby and the little girl in McKinleyville, on the other hand, said it was strong back at the house, sent all the light fixtures and bookshelves swaying, and panicked the animals. Our home is about a block away from the beach, and my better half says they could feel the direction of the wave hitting the west side of the house first and then traveling east, from the ocean up to the mountains.
