(58,785 posts)I've wondered myself. Of course, it's people on the right side of both decency and history, and equally of course we can depend on Fox to recast decency as corruption.
But I think we all know costs aren't being covered by the kids' lunch allowances. I've read about a couple of cities' kids setting up GoFundMes for their marches, and there'll have been many donations through other routes.
Here's another: Who's helping organize them, in DC, other cities, over all? The energy and commitment are coming from these wonderful high school students, but organizing events of this size is strictly a job for grown-up experts.
Btw, Stoneman Douglas's own drama club and student choir are performing now. Not "celebrities," but more students from Stoneman participating on stage in an event of their lifetimes. They're GOOD!
