doesn't get is that if Amazon is shut down tomorrow, another online retailer will take its place. Amazon is like the Walmart of the internet, but I still order from other sites too.

Shoppers want convenience, great prices, fast shipping, and excellent customer service if something goes wrong.

Also, parents who have to choose between shopping online with same day delivery (or 2 day delivery) or going to the store with unruly kids (and possibly ending up in jail and/or YouTube if their kid has a meltdown) will choose the online shopping option, regardless of taxes, etc.
