(17,589 posts)defining what being a progressive is based on views you agree with. Progressives don't always and don't have to always agree on everything for identical reasons. That's a given. Really, a fact of life that fits any association whether it's an ideology, a political party, a belief system, a marriage or a friendship. It's also a dynamic any successful association tolerates and works its way through amiably or at least respectfully. Seems to me you are picking at nits on some of if not all of this and I can only imagine why.
Let me put this out there for you. In my view, Sanders is one of if not the most progressive Senators and perhaps federal legislators in office. You seem to think because he views economic justice as intersecting with and foundational to virtually every other equal rights/opportunity issue and therefore focuses his attention on it above everything else, he is disloyal to progressive causes. I couldn't disagree more and find that disingenuous.
