Sellers argued that Obamas legacy encompasses not just his work as president from a policy perspective, but his symbolic importance. He alluded to the photo of a boy touching Obamas hair in the White House to see if it felt like his. Bernie Sanders doesnt understand how that photo is emblematic of the hope of many African Americans and that it speaks loudly to who Barack Obama is.
