One aspect that no one brought up was that Ingraham was not "arguing back" as Maher had claimed. She was bringing up an irrelevant event (the universities declining him) in an attempt to make him look bad. At best, that's an ad hominem argument; at worst, it's bullying. If she'd made an on-topic point about the gun debate (as many pro-gun people have done), Hogg wouldn't have talking about the advertisers who indirectly fund her.
