Trump has been able to get away with all of his foolishness because he was never really a big fish, though he has certainly promoted himself as such. Now that he is truly on the big stage, we are all seeing how out of his league he is. It is easy as a private citizen or celebrity, to fling crap. Any press is typically good press. However, now his words actually have weight and he is just slinging them around his neck like anchors.

My wife and I often say that before he ran for President, we were aware of and somewhat annoyed by Trump, but gave him very little thought. Now that he has the ability to disrupt the social and political fabric of the US, we despise him and will work to ruin him in any way we can. I assume that there are many more people and some with real power, who feel the same way and will work to make Trump regret every coming onto the national stage.
