(8,200 posts)It may well come to past that the Russians could conclude the Trump has outlived his usefulness and release damning material they have used to compromise him. They could surmise that the release could be more beneficial by causing a constitutional crisis that would virtually hamstring the U.S. government to take action especially in Syria as attention is totally focused on Trump and his cadre of criminals. Destroying Trump could invoke a firestorm between the diehard Republican base and those calling for his removal. It would seem that the Russians would be licking their chops as the Americans engage in a battle that could jeopardize the basic unity of the nation.
The very foundation of the nation that no man is above the law and that we must act as one ( E pluribus Unum) could be at stake. The grounds for this taking place were venture on when the Republicans in desperation embraced fascist tactics to undermine the credibility of the Federal Government during the Reagan administration as the avenue to win elections. Subsequent Republican politicians have intensify this strategy to the extent that there is little difference between what transpired in Germany and today's Republican Parties destructive policies. It is so intense that Madeline Albright, a former Secretary of State, has been compelled to join in the denouncing this administration. For a number of years, many on this board have been acutely aware of what was transpiring. It is only recently that a growing number of citizens are awakening to the fact that our basic freedoms are in serious jeopardy. Hopefully it is not to late crush Republican Party that has willingly committed itself to principals that are diametrically opposed to the very foundation of our nation.
