1. I've always said we should have a National Holiday for voting

It's absolutely stupid to have elections during the week close to winter time. Most countries, developed and underdeveloped, have them on weekends.

If having them on a week day is a must, at least make it a national holiday, a day to celebrate democracy.

How do you "break up a few states"?
