(18,714 posts)I had listened to him weekly on Hartman's radio show, I knew his positions, and I was all in for him during the primary. Then, two things changed: Bernie's supporters, at least some, became more concerned with protecting their image of the man than they were listening to honest criticism....(that's still true today, even though many of his so called supporters were ready to throw him right under the bus once he endorsed Hillary) , and I learned a great deal about the way Bernie ran his campaign, particularly in regards to people of color, and I was dumbstruck and felt more foolish than I ever have over an affiliation with a politician.
I completely agree with your post...we have bigger fish to fry right now. Bernie is gong to do what Bernie wants to do in 2020, that's a long time from now. For now, we all should be focused on the fight for the 2018 midterms.
