2. My in-laws are feverish Trump supporters who have been angry for years

They view these rallies as a good old fashioned tent revival, but it is more about letting loose frustrations about their perceived Caucasian/Christian persecution. Trump is Elmer Gantry letting them know it is okay to let those suppressed feelings out and he orchestrates who he wants attacked while he picks their pockets.
