To be effective. Starbucks took a very pragmatic view in bringing the ADL in on this thing. The ADL has a history of very successfully working on this sort of thing, and probably had good ideas to bring to the table. And why wouldn't you want effective organizations involved, if the goal is actually change, and not something else? Lobbying to ditch the ADL from this thing was silly and counterproductive from a pragmatic point of view.
