When Gore, Dukakis, Mondale, and Kerry lost presidential elections, I don't think there was much clamoring to have them continue as the public face of the party. This is after both Gore and Kerry, as I remember, won the popular vote, like Clinton did.

So what's different about Clinton? Why is there so much clamoring for her to stay prominently in the public eye? What makes her so different than these predecessors?
