(129,963 posts)19. Seems like every damn time somebody does something useful
for "our side," it's all "OMG, he/she should run for President!" No. He/she should keep doing what he/she is doing now and is good at. Mediagenic trial lawyers and smart people on cable news shows and popular celebrities should not run for President. People who have considerable experience in government, solid and well-known Democratic/progressive principles and positions, and no skeletons in their closets should run for President, not shiny-object people who have never even run for their local park commission but who are on TV a lot and say stuff we like.
