(23,495 posts)22. I've complained for years to companies that shrink product size.
The first was when tea companies, industry-wide, overnight, changed from 24 to 20 tea bags per package. I called Bigelow, their response was laughable: "Our customers told us they wanted more conveeeeenient packaging". Ha! The last time was when I called Starkist and asked "How long before we're buying 1 oz. cans of tuna" after they shrunk the size from 7oz. to 6.5 to 6 to 5. Their response? "Oh sir, we took out mostly liquid".

A lot of 'em also pump it full of air bubbles ... so the volume is what it should be but the mass ..
