(172,441 posts)when my parents took us to England in 1970. We didn't get chance to venture out into the countryside to places like this chapel but I know my mother was insistent that we see Westminster Abbey. I am Episcopal and it just so happens that the seating the couple's family and VIPs were in is on the High Altar and is usually designated for the choir (I used to sing on my own church's choir and sat in seating identical to that and about as ornate, complete with the little lamps - my church building was built in the early 1800s).
So at least in that spot, you can put your stuff down on a little table in front of you and I expect that knowing the cameras would be rolling, she just folded her hands and opted to -
