I think there was a cartoon or photo of an 18-wheeler pulling up with a 'truckload' of thoughts and prayers. Like Trump throwing paper towels to Puerto Rican hurricane victims, the inadequacy of the response to shootings is so obscene, it parodies itself. Too many easy jokes present themselves about the NRA, but they are callous and disrespectful to the fallen. Republicans babble only to cover that they don't care.
