is they see that the evidence against them is iron-clad and the only way out is for the whole bunch to tender their resignations, plead guilty for a reduced sentence (i.e., a single sentence of life without parole, and a ban on any public appearances, publicity, or making any money from their crimes), and drop off the face of the Earth.

Remember, they are only seeing documents related to what *started* the investigations, and not the entirety of the mass of incontrovertible evidence that has been collected since.

(I fully expect Donnie Two-scoops to engage in a massive tweetfest after Nunes reports back to him. He will try to bury any damaging information, and select out one or two minor points to try to discredit the whole thing.)
