As a teacher we were told that New Zealand had the best system and my district would fly "experts" in for intense training every month for a year. Meanwhile we got no COLA for 5 years and 30% staff cuts during that time. The New Zealand methods didn't improve learning as far as my fellow teachers are concerned. Maybe the district should have looked into Finland instead.
