9. Iowa Through A Wingnut Prism...

Remember, Michael Dukakis won Iowa in '88 and John Kerry in '04...no rushpublican has won the state since '84. The rushpublicans are a minority in the state...a loud one, but a minority nonetheless...especially in the bigger cities.

What we're seeing is a demolition derby among a fraction of the electorate. You'll also notice the rushpublicans Tweety did find considered themselves "moderate"...and many of those will be taking a pass on the caucuses. The caucus process tilts towards organizations and the ability to get your people in the same place at the same time. Passion matters...thus Frothy and the Paulbots will have a big night while Mittens won't. But when its all said and done, the state will show strongly for President Obama in November.
