146. What many people here fail to realize is that the calm demeanor

helps to normalize trump. If someone is calm and smiling when talking about the investigations, etc., then the viewer will feel relaxed and think nothing too bad is going on.

I fully understand the reflex defensiveness in response to sentiments like this-- I'm a staunch democrat, loyal, defensive, and do NOT like airing dirty laundry on public forums... But on this, I have to speak out because I'd rather we change course now than find ourselves at the losing end of another election.

The same people who are shouting down people like me and Jim Carrey for speaking about this are probably the same people who said trump would never be the GOP nominee, and then said that trump would never win the election. Now that the worst has happened, twice, maybe it's time to STFU and listen for a change?

Here's the problem, we have excellent, smart, hard working democrats working on our behalf. But it seems like our side is lacking when it comes to the POLITICAL aspect of the job. I know there's a balance and tradeoff with regard to brains/competence and political instincts. Very few can do both, and those who can are pretty much rockstars in our party.
