At least the ones I know, which are financial types. They bitched for years about "printing money" and made nostalgic noises about the gold standard. And yet its Republicans who print the money, or at least, set up the conditions that forces the Fed to print money.

Which is all part of their plan actually. Since they can't get the votes to stay in power long enough to gut the Federal Government and transfer its assets to private hands, they're trying to go around problematic democracy and wreck American economics and gut things that way.

Grover Norquist popularized the "drown government in a bathtub" statement, but he didn't come up with it on his own. This idea has been around since FDR's days. That's how long its been since Republicans had a new idea, since 1936.
