Has ANYBODY, ANYWHERE, in all the history of the Internet, EVER changed their mind because of something they read in the comments to an article or news story? EVER?

It's stupid, it's a waste of time, trolls should just be IGNORED as a matter of principle. ALWAYS.

And I'm sorry about the all caps. It's just so frustrating. This country might not be in this position if arguing with paid trolls weren't so effective for them (and pointless in every other way).
