to get my hair trimmed, and before I knew it, the hairdresser had (for evil reasons, I'm sure) quickly cut my bangs into a point-- / -- with the point right over my nose, and the sides very short. It was kind of like Mr. Spock's haircut.
If that happened to Melania, well, I sympathize. 
But I think she just cannot stand to be near her husband, and is doing this to embarrass him. Impossible task, of course, as he's utterly shameless.
