He's been there for awhile now (probably around 20 years or so since he used to be on WRC and on WOL for a bit). I first heard him here in Philly back in 1989 when he was doing the graveyard shift on WWDB FM. He still talks about that story where he had moved to Bala Cynwyd, (just outside of Philly) with his then-young family back then... but was still commuting to Detroit where he earlier lived and was still hosting a show there as well. After about a month or so on the air here, he was fired. I have been following him around whereever he was broadcasting ever since.
Used to travel down to D.C. metro a lot and would listen to him down there on WRC when he had a show in between Oliver North and G. Gordon Liddy. 
He would be bombarded by the crazies who listened to those two. One of the stations here also used to pick up his syndicated feed for awhile as well (I think back in the late '90s/early 2000s).
I happened to be watching CSPAN early morning one time back in 2007 and saw him when CSPAN used to do simulcasts of political talk hosts and that's how I found out he was on XM radio. I immediately subscribed (they eventually became SiriusXM) and have continued to listen to him on that ever since! Next year will be 30 years. Yikes!
