Ten years ago I recall Carson on programs like CSPAN when he was still surgeoning, receiving many work accolades and promoting his biography with education, career and background. He emphasized his rather poor but hard working upbringing, seemed quite 'worldly' and very much into wealth and status to me then. None of the 'after I'm gone' stuff, although he mentioned his religion.
(I can't follow much hard rt. news, it would do me in!).

- Carson's NoVa. home with paintings, honors and trophies has been featured much in the news.
