(3,750 posts)at the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. After that point the Law passed into history and the Law of Christ went into effect. Paul spent his career fighting the Judaizers who wanted Gentile converts to observe the Law of Moses and believe in Jesus to be saved. The response from the Apostle Paul was, "No way!" Peter had to be taught that there were no more dietary laws or restrictions from associating with non-Jewish Christians. It is all there. There was a change. The former Jews could still follow some of the practices but they could not bind them on others. There was misuse and abuse but it was out with the Old and in with the New. It is there if you will look. All the commands were superseded by "Love your neighbor as yourself." Old habits die hard and many still want to put the ten commandments on the courthouse lawn. They are wrong.
If we believe in loving others and treating them the way we want to be treated we are following the teachings of Jesus even if we do not claim belief in Jesus. Can't we all agree that love, and not hatred and fear, is the answer?
