I'm a regular reader of The Root, and sometimes there are some interesting comments posted there. Here's an interesting tip that was posted this morning:

Smoke and mirrors. None of this came innocently from social media. All of this is coming directly from the Intelligence Community who Trump made the stupid, fatal mistake of berating and belittling ON FOREIGN SOIL no less, soon after his inauguration...even referring to them as Nazis. Make no mistake, the Intelligence Community has the goods on EVERYONE in Trump’s orbit...EVERYONE. And they will absolutely destroy Trump for what he said and because he’s a threat to America’s reputation and to national security. These people see themselves as the last resort in case either party fails to uphold their duty.

They use subterfuge to release information because they can’t expose exactly how they gather information. But rest assured, Mueller, the cable and print media outlets and absolutely Michael Avenatti are all being fed rock-solid information.That’s why Avenatti speaks with 100% surety. This release of the most private information destroys his credibility and gets Guliani out of the picture. Since no law firm in Washington will represent THE PRESIDENT OF THE FUCKING UNITED STATES, he will be lacking legal counsel and will absolutely fuck himself up and over and then sideways.

One by one the I.C. is isolating Trump from everyone close to him, everyone he trusts. He doesn’t know what Cohen is saying or has said. He doesn’t know what Manafort has said. He doesn’t know what Flynn has said. Give it time, Trump is going to collapse like a house of cards.

In other words Avenatti could be getting tips straight from guys in the intelligence community (CIA or NSA most likely) because they can't leak the stuff themselves. They use guys like ol' Michael A for leaks. That makes sense considering how many direct hits he's been making on this Trump-Cohen-Giuliani-PornStar stuff.

For what it's worth, I hope they're right.
