Quite frankly, the way the OP is written, she went off IMMEDIATELY and in such a way, that it quite frankly sounds to me like a bit of a rude customer. You walk in (or wheelchair in as in this case) and start off by being demanding and rude, an eye roll response isn't that bad.
I'm thinking of another saying about sugar and honey. How does that one go?
Yeah, sometimes the salespeople are less than helpful, sometimes they are rude themselves, but again, being that rude back (and it does sound like rudeness to me) is hardly the best way to get good customer service.
I will note that on the genuinely positive side, a manager did everything she wanted and she wound up with the appliance she wanted.
