How easy it was to lead blind followers down a path of hatred and division and destruction.

They are always there. The group of haters, waiting to take away from others, angry about their own circumstances. Take away food stamps, citizenship, voting rights, freedom to buy a cake at a cake shop. They will always be there, just beneath the surface, ready to support a despot.
