7. When I was a young mother I was not always able to tell

what my baby was indicating with his cries.

But I was often in awe of pediatricians who knew all sorts of things exactly. Such as correctly estimating my son's age in months, even though he was very small for his age. Apparently he was behaving in ways that exactly matched his age.

So when a pediatrician tells me these kids are crying from terror, I know he's right.
