TMI. The guy's just there to ring up a sale, lady. He may have thought nothing at all about WHY she had narrowed her choices down...just that here was another lonely woman rambling on and on about things except which one she wanted.
I guess I'm just empathetic and considerate with sales people. They represent all the products in their store. They can't and won't say anything bad about any of them. That's his job. He's not there to chat with me, or me with him...we're not there to strike up a relationship. He's there to ring up a sale, and I'm there to buy something that I've researched beforehand. Sometimes I will ramble on, because I'm naturally chatty, but I try to watch that.
I try to think that...if I'm TRULY busy and in a hurry, and if I have things to do...I wouldn't be standing here in the Home Depot appliance department trying to have a discussion with a salesman on why I like or don't like certain things. HE DOESN'T CARE! HE DOESN'T KNOW ME! Just like I don't care what his likes and dislikes are. Leave the guy alone, and just pick a frickin' appliance and pay for it.
