In reply to the discussion: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez!! [View all]Power 2 the People
(2,437 posts)50. I love President Obama
He is a good man with his heart in the right place. He would have been much more successful legislatively if he ran in 2020 rather than 2008. He spent his first 7 years trying to get the Republicans to like him. He didn't realize there was pure evil in the world and they have (R) next to their names. By the time he realized they had no plans to negotiate or help him pass anything, it was too late.
It would have been so much better for the country if Hillary would have won in 2008 and passed the torch to Obama in 2016. She would have never put up with their games and knew exactly who they were.

Yes, and ran on many other issues in line with Bernie's positions... it's no wonder she won!

What policies will Ocasio-Cortez offer that will help deliver national votes to the Democrats?

Seven months ago, she was a bartender. Now she could (should) be headed to Congress.

Bullshit. You used the constitution to justify lobbying and the perversity of it

Well said!! That's the kind of example I was hoping others would be setting as well.
