2. We (Americans) had a chance in the GOP primary. The GOP blew it.

We had another chance in the November election. We blew that.
We had yet another chance with the Electoral College. We blew that one too.

Now it's up to Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan. That is what we are stuck with since we failed to protect the republic against this maniac ourselves. Once the president is elected it is very hard to remove them and that's a good thing (normally). If McConnell and Ryan can't or won't put up some fences around or barriers to the MAGAt administration we are screwed until we get another election. And even then, if Dems put up barriers there will be a lot of resistance because it will be seen as partisan.

Nevertheless, let's hope it's an honest election in November.
